Teaming up with the museum historian, I undertook the task of creating a historically accurate white jacket for our exhibit featuring the WAVES (Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service) patch. While we already had a blue jacket with this embroidered patch, the challenge was to replicate it on the white jacket we sourced for the display. Using my home embroidery machine, I recreated the WAVES patch on the appropriate fabric. The historian sewed the patches onto the white jacket, ensuring consistency with the original design. This collaborative effort highlighted the importance of attention to detail and craftsmanship in museum artifact presentation, blending modern technology with traditional methods to maintain historical accuracy and authenticity.

The historian approved that this thread color is accurate for this color jacket.
